Thank you for joining me yet again today in my humble blog which I try to fill with as much down to earth everyday situations and common sense content as possible.
In this post, we are briefly going to enjoy some nuggets of wisdom, and remind ourselves of the basics that are a foundation for the seemingly waw moments that we notice all around us.
Put it this way, how about us getting some nourishment for our souls, sounds like a good Idea, right?
I Agree and I am sure you do too. Moreover even wise King Solomon said in his proverbs that; "Also for the soul to be without knowledge, it is not good..." Proverbs 19:2
We are going to have this nuggets in numerical numbers; 1,2, 3, 4....
Lets start,
1. Speak well of people, for each and every one you meet is distinctive in his or her ways regardless of the flaws inherent in each and everyone of us. There is at least one thing you are guaranteed to find that is nice in each and every person you meet. It could be their smile, their dress, their cologne, their intellect, .....etc, I am pretty sure you will find something nice at least one to speak well of concerning the people you meet on a day to day basis whether you know them or not, true? they may well be your next link /connection to your next level.
There will obviously be some unpleasant things about others you will be tempted to speak of to other people. Well, it's best not to fall into that temptation - It's called gossip, resist it with all your might, vote with your feet(walk away) if you must but never gossip. Do also remember to keep your words soft and tender, you never know, tomorrow, you might have to eat them." Even walls have ears" so I heard years ago.
2. In Conversations, and especially in matters of the heart, let your words indeed be few, and avoid talking pretentiously about that which you are not familiar with or have no knowledge of! basically, just keep off unfamiliar territory. Know what your saying if you must say anything at all.
3. Money is very, very essential. Learn to take care of it, do not squander it and do not miss use it. Use it within its power and keep it circulating- do not hoard it, do that, and it will always come back to you in a multiplied way.
Your prosperity does not have to be at the expense of other people. As God's Child, it is His will to prosper you and he takes pleasure in prospering you. Do not cheat your way to prosperity, if you do, it won't last.
4. Be in the BUSINESS of learning. That is the one company/business each and everybody should incorporate and register with the corporate entity called LIFE. In the Business of LEARNING, you are both the CEO and The floor employee, no one can fire you but yourself and I am sure you wouldn't do that to yourself, would you?
So, make LEARNING your daily quest and your personal business, it will make your life wonderful. make it a point to learn one new thing everyday.
Here is what Brian Tracy once said "Men & Women of great character, competence and leadership abilities are those who have worked on themselves, usually for many years, to become the kind of people that others look up to, respect and admire!"
How true. Lovely.
5. Live with due allegiance to your self than any ones expectations of you. Have a mind of your own. That's why God gave it to you as your own with the uniqueness with which it was designed for you by your creator. Use it to live your life and not to be a people 'pleaser'.
Here is the truth - You can not and will not be able to please everybody. Period.
"Fame is vapour, popularity an accident, Riches take wings, those who cheer today will curse tomorrow; only one thing endures - Character" (Horace Creeley).
And may I suggest that, Character development really 'takes off' when you start being yourself in all things at all times.
6. You learn more and best by taking ACTION. Take more action as opposed to just talking. in taking action lie seeds of courage, boldness and wisdom. Never tier of taking action, keep in motion, just like a bicycle that is not moving will loose its balance so will you if you stop taking action. You will only maintain your balance and sense of worthiness in life, if you continuously take action towards realising your goals and dreams.
7. Take pleasure in meeting other peoples needs. God forbid that you be found wanting when there is a need to be met. Be a giver, that is all I am trying to say.
8. Do not be afraid of failure.
Most people are afraid of failure in any area of their lives to the effect that they just become 'stagnant' so to say. They become paralysed with fear of failing so much so that the very thing they are afraid of, just naturally happens to them - their fear becomes a reality by default.
What you have to understand though is that; Failure happens FOR you, it does not happen to you! This statement is very important that it bears repeating; Failure does NOT happen to you, it does happen FOR you.
Whenever it happens, more often than not, it will be covering a lot of opportunities for you. Your duty is to uncover those opportunities and maximise them. "Look beyond the blinds"
In clossing, let's be reminded that,....
Excellence demands that you go beyond the call of duty and do well - beyond the ordinary standard, more like going the extra mile.
I think that is a wonderful principle to follow, and if we did it consistently, I am sure our lives will be set a part from the crowd and our souls will always have the best of the land. "There are no traffic jams on the extra mile" Get there and enjoy luxury.
Cherish every moment you are alive and make the most of your time, effort and opportunities. Till next time, keep nourishing your soul.
I say no more. 'A word is enough for a wise man'
Merci beau coupe.
Peace & Love
